Project Archivist sought for Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert-Miller Archive
Applications are now invited for an archivist to catalogue the Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert-Miller Papers and make the Archive accessible in response to academic demand. The project involves sorting, accessioning, cataloguing, listing and indexing the material and manuscripts comprising the Miller Archive to archival standards. The post, funded by the Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert-Miller Trust Fund, is available on a 9-month fixed-term contract, with a possible 3-month extension.
Applicants must hold an archive qualification and have at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience in an academic library, special collection, or research institute environment. Knowledge of ISAD(G) and other archival standards are required, as is a working knowledge of library information systems, including MARC or similar cataloguing systems. Fluency in German and familiarity with German script in the late 19th/early 20th centuries, along with a demonstrable interest in 20th-century European cultural history is essential.
